On Friday night, LIM Faculty offered its annual runway present positioned at The Glasshouse in New York Metropolis. As is the case annually, the manufacturing was solely student-operated, from curating manufacturers to advertising and marketing to discovering sponsors (this 12 months, it was Amazon Vogue) to set design to styling.
In previous years, the run of the present was comprised principally of rising and indie designers. (LIM Faculty separates itself from different trend establishments by focusing solely on the enterprise aspect of the business.) This 12 months, nevertheless, featured extra pupil design expertise. It was the primary runway because the Japan Academic Basis (JEF) acquired LIM. As such, current graduates from JEF-owned ESMOD, one of many high trend design colleges in Paris, had the prospect to showcase their work.
The present — aptly titled “World Vogue Fusion” — was divided into seven components: It started with designs by the New York-based model Nicole Miller, adopted by Amazon seems to be styled by LIM college students. The scholar design expertise got here subsequent, first from LIM after which from ESMOD. Creations by Veronica Fletcher for her model Sonny Michael walked down the runway for half six, titled “Heritage & Excessive Vogue.” Extra Amazon seems to be closed out the present.
