Origin Story
Didi Rose Jewellery was born from Benedicta Awere-Malik’s childhood nickname, Didi, and her lifelong love of roses. From a younger age in Nigeria, she expressed her creativity all over the place — braiding hair at seven, frosting truffles at 9 and stitching by eleven. Her first jewellery experiments concerned melting bits of wire in palm oil to imitate coral beads, foreshadowing a life devoted to reworking easy supplies into artwork.
