This film sounds very boilerplate: mayoral candidate, corruption, kidnapping, SECRETSSSSSSS. Ben Affleck, who co-wrote it, initially deliberate to direct Matt Damon within the lead, with Jennifer Garner as his spouse. However then Matt needed to go do The Odyssey, as one does, so Ben forged himself after which he and J.Gar determined that taking part in husband and spouse could be manner too distracting for viewers. Most likely clever. If anybody can deal with a flick the place folks get their arms soiled and reveal their seedy underbellies, it’s the erstwhile Olivia Pope.
