Christian Siriano's Spring 2027 Collection Is One Sexy Fairy Tale

Christian Siriano’s Spring 2027 runway present felt a bit like a fairy story — and that was the purpose. The designer stated he was impressed by an 18th-century French fairy story, “The Story of the Queen of the Flowery Isles.”

“The story was romantic ultimately, however it begins fairly darkish and sinister, sort of like an outdated fairy story does,” Siriano informed Fashionista backstage. “And I believe that took you on a journey. The central inspiration was the Queen, described as mysterious and “surrounded by an enchanted world of flowers, magnificence, decadence and escape.” The gathering took inspiration from the opulence of the French courtroom, with parts of corsetry, dramatic quantity, delicate late and ornate embroidery.

Flower motifs seem all through — in sculptural shapes, cascading ruffles and layers of chiffon — as Siriano wished to juxtapose restrained 18th-century gown with the wildness of a backyard, as if the Queen stepped into the fashionable day.
